Service Description

Our doulas provide hands-on support in the initial days and weeks following the birth to help new families find solid footing at home with their new babies. Our overnight postpartum packages allow for doulas to serve in a strong support role, to help new families get some rest and find a rhythm in the early postpartum period. During overnight postpartum support hours, our doulas offer the following services: * Breastfeeding encouragement and support * Assistance with baby care and self-care recovery measures * Assistance in caring for and feeding your new baby/babies * Support adjusting to new roles * Support with sleep and feeding schedules to maximize restfulness * Telephone, text, and email support throughout the early months of parenthood * Referrals as needed to community or other resources Services are provided in the client's home, unless otherwise agreed in writing in advance. There is no travel fee for home locations within 25 miles of the Family Ways office [11000 Rosemont Drive, Rockville, MD 20852]. Travel fees are incurred when doulas travel to client locations outside this 25-mile radius,

Cancellation Policy

For cancellations, please contact us 24 hours in advance to avoid a cancellation charge of $50. Please note that our doulas make every effort to keep your appointment as scheduled, but may need to reschedule in the event we are attending to a client in labor -- in such cases, we will contact you directly in advance of your appointment to select a mutually agreeable alternate time.
